DR ANDREW THOMAS PASTUSZEK

Born and raised on the Gold Coast, he obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Bond University in 2010. He completed his Masters in Surgical Sciences at the University of Edinburgh and undertook surgical training throughout South East Queensland including the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, the Sunshine Coast and throughout Brisbane.

Upon completing his ENT training and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Andrew and his family moved to Toowoomba for a year focussed on providing public and private care focussed on Thyroid, Head & Neck surgery, advanced skin cancer surgery along with a high-volume paediatric case mix. Relocating to Newcastle, he underwent a microvascular reconstructive, head & neck and skull base surgical Fellowship at the John Hunter Hospital working with a truly exemplary team in a high-volume thyroid, head and neck cancer centre.

Andrew specialises in management of:

• Thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer
• Head and Neck lesions including skull base lesions
• Advanced skin cancers
• Paediatric conditions – including snoring, middle ear infections and hearing loss
• Managing ear conditions including cholesteatoma and middle ear disorders
• Sinus surgery
• Head and neck cancer reconstruction
